Flow Dynamics recently wrapped up another custom-engineered build in our shop—a fully stainless-steel hydraulic power unit designed for a customer who needed absolute reliability in a demanding environment. Projects like this are where our team thrives, combining engineering expertise, precision fabrication, and the durability our customers count on everyday.
Built for Corrosive and Wash-Down Conditions
At the heart of the system is an all-316 stainless-steel reservoir, chosen for maximum resistance to corrosion and harsh cleaning requirements. Paired with a stainless-Steel 5HP electric motor, this unit is made to stand up to environments where standard materials simply won’t last.
Smooth, Precise Hydraulic Control
To deliver dependable multi-axis performance, the system features a 3-station D03 manifold, complete with Atos valves for consistent, responsive actuation. Each function drives custom cylinders equipped with counterbalance valves, ensuring stable load holding and safe lowering—even under heavy or over-center loads. A Delta direct-acting relief valve provides fast, repeatable system protection.
Electrical Enclosure, Built In-House
Our team fabricated a premium stainless enclosure to tie everything together, including:
- Main disconnect switch
- Motor contactor and circuit protector
- E-stop for immediate shutdown
- Lighted Start/Stop pushbuttons
- Momentary jog/manual function
- Integrated 24 VDC power supply
