Des-Case

Des-Case has protected industrial lubricants from contamination since 1983, when it introduced the first desiccant breather to the market. Today the company, part of The Timken Company, combines breathers, filtration, and condition monitoring to keep hydraulic and lubrication systems clean and dry.

About Des-Case

Des-Case Corporation was founded in 1983 near Nashville, Tennessee, after founder Jim Waller, a filtration engineer, developed a breather to solve an oil company's contamination problem. That original desiccant breather grew into a full contamination-control business, and the company's 2016 acquisition of RMF Systems added European filtration, analysis, and monitoring expertise to its North American breather leadership. Des-Case is now part of The Timken Company.

Des-Case's product range combines desiccant breathers that keep airborne moisture and particulate out of lubricant reservoirs, filtration systems including off-line kidney-loop units and high-flow filter carts, oil storage and transfer equipment, and condition monitoring and visual oil analysis tools that flag lubricant problems before they cause damage. The lineup covers everything from a single breather on a gearbox to a full off-line filtration loop on a hydraulic power unit.

Flow Dynamics and Automation stocks and supplies Des-Case breathers and filtration products, and installs Des-Case moisture breathers on the hydraulic power units we build in-house to help prevent corrosion and contamination from day one.
